La Piana di Lu Piru
A country home in rural Gallura
La Piana di Lu Piru is a 5 hectares (about 12 acres) property, surrounded by mediterranean scrub on a small hill.
The building has been inspired in its form and proportions by the traditional Stazzo Gallurese, and has been built with materials and details which are respectful of the local tradition.
The use of granite stone in plain sight, and artisanal lime-based plasters, wood beams and planks, as well ass wrought iron, are all part of basic ingredients that identify rural buildings in Gallura.
